Thread of Hope is a charity dedicated to promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing through sustainable fashion and creativity. We transform donated clothing, shoes, and accessories into upcycled pieces while creating safe, inclusive spaces for people to learn new skills, build confidence, and reconnect with their community.
Thread of Hope was founded in 2025 with a vision: to merge fashion with wellbeing and make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
Our founder, Yebo Moses, saw first-hand how creativity can help people rebuild confidence and purpose. With a background in fashion, tailoring, and community work, she wanted to create a safe space where mental health recovery could connect with artistic expression.
Though we are a new charity, our vision is built on years of experience in fashion, tailoring, and creative initiatives that foster healing and empowerment.
From this foundation, Thread of Hope was born with the goal of inspiring hope, recovery, and opportunity.
Our values
Creativity: Using art and fashion as tools for self-expression.
Sustainability: Reducing waste through upcycling and recycling.
Inclusion: Welcoming people of all backgrounds and abilities.
Empowerment: Building confidence, skills, and opportunities.
Together, we aim to heal minds, one thread at a time.
We are a group of trustees, volunteers, creatives, and community members who believe in the power of art and fashion to change lives. Together, we provide:
Upcycling workshops for skill-building and self-expression.
Community-led fashion events that celebrate creativity.
Fashion Events & Shows – celebrating creativity, building confidence, and reducing stigma.
Opportunities for people with lived mental health experience to gain training, confidence, and pathways into work or further learning.
At Thread of Hope, every stitch tells a story, and every design brings us closer to healing minds one thread at a time.
